Stop Okay Go has accused Timedoor of being on a Lush kick lately. He (or she?) would be right. I found this song, a remix of “Last Night,” at my local library on the City of Industry soundtrack. The original song can be found on the band’s third and final album, 1996’s Lovelife. That album heard the band take a step away from the “shoegaze” sound it had become associated with and experiment with poppier, chart-ready songs. The gambit worked, with the album’s three singles placing higher on the UK singles chart than previous singles had. “Single Girl” and “500” both peaked at 21 and “Ladykillers” at 22.
