Let's walk in the shadows: "The Faster I Breathe the Further I Go" by PJ Harvey · Apr 8, 06:33 PM by Don

Since I’m back in mp3-postin’ mode, I’ve been concentrating on artists never previously mentioned on Timedoor. But then I heard this song by PJ Harvey and I had to break my new rule. I was playing music at work via my iPod and this song came up via shuffle mode. At first I thought it was some Sonic Youth song I’d never heard before. It was actually a PJ Harvey song I’d never heard before. The feral squawk of the bass would not be out of place in a SY song, and Harvey sounds a bit like Thurston Moore during the first few lines.
“Keep walking,” she commands at the end. “Keep rocking,” I say.

P.S. The CD art calls this the “4 track version.” As far as I can tell, it’s the only version.
