As soon as I watched Prince’s Super Bowl performance this morning on YouTube, I knew I had to get it out to the world in mp3 form as soon as possible. So, thanks to WireTap Pro and Audacity, you can listen to the Prince in the comfort of your own headphones. Watching it live, the set plays like an extended medley, but I’ve broken it up into three chunks. My favorite part was when his cover of Jimi Hendrix’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower” morphed seemlessly into the Foo Fighters’ “Best of You.” I gotta say, I’d love to hear Prince hit the studio and record a proper cover. I wonder what Dave Grohl thought of Prince playing one of his songs.

I loved the performance too! I’ve seen Prince perform in concert at least 10 times, and every single time, it seems as though he can’t get better at his guitar playing… but I am proved wrong everytime! Seek out Prince’s performance with Tom Petty at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 as well for an equally amazing guitar solo!

Hi seluj, the three Prince songs are already mp3’s. You don’t need to “record” them. Simply download them to your computer. Then, all you have to do is import them into your listening device via the software packaged with your listening device. If you’re still having trouble with this, write back.
